Chamravattom Regulator cum Bridge
Chamravattom Regulator cum Bridge
The Chamravattom Regulator cum Bridge is one of the major irrigation and transportation projects built across the Bharathapuzha River in Malappuram district of Kerala. The project was constructed with the objective of regulating the water level of the Bharathapuzha River, preventing the ingress of seawater, and ensuring water storage during droughts. It also serves as the main road connecting the Ponnani region and Tirur parts of Malappuram district.
Famous for its sunset views and expansive river views, this place has now become a local tourist destination. The Bharathapuzha River, which is in full flow during the monsoon season, and the water flowing through the regulator are a beautiful sight.
